4th Wave is a music program originally co-founded in 2019 by Gallatin faculty member Kwami Coleman, Gallatin alumna Rosie Kaplan (BA '08), and Noah Kaplan (Princeton University) as a three-week music workshop for Gallatin students and alumni with the goal of fostering a unique community of artist-scholars by cultivating an environment of creative freedom, academic rigor, and cultural cross-pollination.  

In January 2022, 4th Wave evolved as a fully virtual one-week intensive that brought together Gallatin student and alumni musicians and video artists within and beyond New York City, and around the world. Three ensembles embarked on a unique and collective experiment to explore, expand, and challenge the boundaries of the creative process. Together, they collaborated through remote channels (i.e. WhatsApp, Discord, email, etc.) and across time zones to develop an original audio-visual work, the final projects of which will premiere at the 2022 Gallatin Arts Festival.

Walker submitted five pieces to the overall work and the team created an incredibly interesting piece combining scripting, vocals, violin, expert editing, and alluring video elements.
